This exact machine was chosen to represent the mark, and this model in particular in jerry hatfield and hans halberstand's famous book - "indian motorcycles". This gorgeous scout was meticulously restored a few years ago and has been lovingly cared for ever since. Always stored indoors in a climate controlled shop - it has received only the finest maintenance and service. During restoration, attention was paid to even the finest details with an eye for originality. This contributes much to the collect-ability and long term value of this noteworthy machine. The chinese red and metallic silver 2-tone paint scheme with extensive pin-striping follows the original pattern and color palette. All service and repair records have been maintained for entire duration of the current owner's stewardship of this piece of history. Recently a complete top end rebuild (back to standard bore) and restoration of the front suspension and steering bushings and bearings was performed - restoring power and crisp handling to like new levels. It starts easily and runs great! Another special feature is the era correct corbin double needle speedometer. A clear california title with current tags is included. Have a look at the photos and feel free to ask questions. I am selling this for a family member - so give me a day to reply to detailed questions.. Trailer
